Good morning, Classy Class!

Happy Wednesday!  I gave Mrs. Swallow your get-well card and she thought it was sweet and really appreciated it.  I'm sorry I won't be there today.  I'm sure you all would have enjoyed giving me a hard time about falling asleep during the assembly.  Mrs. McLain will be with you today, so of course, you're in great hands.  Treat her well, okay?  More instructions follow ... Just click on "Read more ..."

Graduation Practice: I don't know when this will be.  Please try hard to be dignified and pay attention to Mrs. Heldenbrand.

Thank You Posters:
Using paper and materials on the Art Cart to make thank-you posters for some nice people who have been helping you out.  There are twenty-one people on my list of poster people, listed below.  Each of you pick a person and make and decorate a poster using the white construction paper on the art cart.  You may use markers, stencils, etc.  Then leave your poster on your desk, and go around and sign all the other ones!  I tried to think of everyone, but if there are others you can think of, you can make more posters!

  • Mrs. Alard
  • Mrs. Anderson
  • Mrs. Stapleton

  • Mrs. Robertson (party food)

  • Mrs. Christen (food)

Faculty and Staff (for being great to you for seven years)

  • Mrs. Adams
  • Mrs. Vincent
  • Mrs. New Band Teacher
  • Mrs. Durst
  • Mr. Bennett
  • Mrs. Anderson
  • Miss Youd
  • Mrs. Sanderson and Mrs. Gibson (office)
  • Cafeteria Staff
  • Mrs. Guzzo (Yearbook)
  • Mrs. McLain (Try to keep this one a secret surprise!)

The Girl Who Could Fly: Mrs. McLain may read this to you.  I've already read the ending ... HA HA!!!!!  While she reads, you may draw or do quiet work, but do NOT use the computers!

Disaster Simulator: You may do this activity together with Mrs. McLain when she lets you.  It is like SimCity, but the goal is to save as many villagers as you can.  I'll post instructions in another article called "Disaster Simulator."

Board Games:
I've told Mrs. McLain she can give you an hour or so to play some board games today.  The rules:

  • EVERYONE plays.  You may do quiet work if you need or want to, but no goofing around.  Have fun, and make sure everyone is included.
  • No "Run Yourself Ragged" or "Snafu."  Play a game that makes you think instead.
  • Clean up carefully.  If you end a game, put it away completely, with all the pieces neat and organized.
  • If it goes well and you're having fun, Mrs. McLain may let you play even LONGER!

I'll check-in later to see how things are going.  Have a GREAT day!
